About Us
DIVERSIFIED DIVER SPECIALTIES LLC began offering commercial diver services in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 2010 as a way for the owner (Randy Polito) to turn his passion for scuba diving into self-sustaining adventure.
With almost 30 years’ experience in the residential and commercial construction industry, ten of which were spent as an independent contractor, many of the foundational skills were already well honed and ready for use in their new roles underwater.
Building from a position of knowledge in structural composition, we took on the task of learning how to renovate tired old dock structures. Bringing new life to docks that were very near their final days afloat. Utilizing SCUBA skills to add additional floatation, replace anchor cable systems, cutting off both steel and wood pilings at the lakebed, and repairing storm damaged wave attenuators allowed our modest venture to grow and begin to thrive.
Our History (2010 to 2025)
Our team has been involved in a wide variety of aquatic endeavors that include the installation of lake water pumping systems for both residential and commercial water users, lost item search and recovery, Diver Assisted Suction Harvesting (DASH) of aquatic plants, both invasive and problematic dense growth, and SCUBA Diver certifications through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.
And, to top all of that off, in January of 2024 we opened the DIVE SHOP where we now offer a full range of diving equipment, service, training, air fills, hydro and visual inspections of scuba cylinders, and dive travel opportunities for our customers.
